Let’s Stop Human Trafficking!

On July 31st 2018, New Society Reconstruction and Development Org (NSRDO) facilitated a volleyball tournament in Kelagy villiage of Doshi district, where the high number of IDPs and Returnees in Baghlan province are settled in this area. In addition, majority of local residents are poor and suffering from unemployment and some of them are working with low incomes. Awareness campaign by the name of “Let’s Stop Human Trafficking” through volleyball tournament to prevent human trafficking
Moreover, unemployment, poverty and illiteracy are the main factors that cause the civilian of this area to be deceived by human traffickers and they are exploited and abused within and out of the country. NSRDO’s main focus is to prevent and fight against human trafficking which is a disgraceful phenomenon in Afghanistan through launching volleyball tournament in Baghlan province. The volleyball tournament was aimed to convey the messages by slogans and through banners which attracted the attention of people who were present. Furthermore, Mr. Wasim Momand director of NSRDO described the consequences of human trafficking to the audience and added that it is the duty of every one of us to fight against human trafficking through awareness programs.
At the end of this volleyball tournament, Kelagay Tigers Team became the winner of the tournament. Mr. Wasim “Momand” distributed medals to mediators & to all players and as well as distributed trophy to the winner team. The community elders appreciated the awareness program through volleyball and promised that they will spread the message to all people who are residing in this area. Meantime, the report of volleyball tournament was broadcasted via Radio Adeeb channel.
